Letter #5794

Alfonso de VALDÉS to Ioannes DANTISCUS
[Mantua or Augsburg], [shortly before 1530-04-18 or shortly before 1530-11-22]

English register:

Valdés sends Dantiscus a petition that Lewicki presented to the emperor the previous day. He asks that he return it after reading it. He promises to make excuses for Dantiscus before everyone, because nothing bad has happened apart from the fact that good old Lewicki wanted to achieve something before he left. Valdés will try to help with the Monteserico matter, but considers it to be unrealistic. He thinks Lewicki won’t accomplish much as regards the canonicate.
