Letter #597

Arendt STURM to Ioannes DANTISCUS
Ghent (Gandavum), 1532-02-23

English register:

Sturm, his wife and his daughters Joozijne and Lijnken recommend themselves to Dantiscus. They are all pleased that he is in good health, as they understand from Sturm’s nephew Michiel [De Vriendt]. They thank Dantiscus for the honour of the favours he bestowed upon them and upon his nephew. If he had known that Dantiscus was still in Antwerp, they would all have come to say goodbye.

Should Dantiscus ever be back in the region, he is most welcome to stay at Strums. He recommends himself again and offers Dantiscus his services. He is entirely at Dantiscus' disposal, with all he owns in the world. May the Lord grant Dantiscus all his desires.
