Salutem et felicitatem ac sui humilem commendationem.

Reddidit mihi dominus Mauricius litteras Vestrae Reverendissimae Dominationis, quas reverenter accepi et, perlectis, non vulgariter sum delectatus, nam illius erga me immeritum benignitatis testes esse videntur. Quo nomine habeo Vestrae Reverendissimae Dominationi plurimas gratias, meriturus omni studio et officio pro mea parvitate. Quod res Prutenicas attinet, licet fidem meam affectum, studium et observantiam principibus meis, istis iam perpetuis viginti annis multis rerum argumentis testatam fecerim planeque conservaverim, tamen admonitionem Vestrae Reverendissimae Dominationis prudentissimam clementemque obviis manibus accepi faciamque omnia ex illius praescripto nec cuiusquam rei quam honesti et utilis maior ratio mihi est. Ea vero, quae mecum communicare dignata est, sepulta apud me erunt semper. Tametsi non dubitem, quae hic illustris dominus dux in Prussia egerit Vestrae Reverendissimae Dominationi multorum litteris et sermonibus cognita fore, tamen cum haec eadem a me scire vult, paucis perstringam.

Graviter qu{a}estus est proscriptione monetae suae ex inclito regno Poloniae se offensum esse contra iura, privilegia, pacta et foedera, obtinuitque litteras a sacra maiestate regia ad s(erenissimum) regem parentem, ut hoc edictum, si non abrogaretur, saltem ad comitia regni proxima differretur. Egit demum summo studio, ut negotium finium regundorum inter Lituaniam et Prussiam anno superiore infectum, hoc anno finiretur.

Quod quidem diffiniendum senatores detractant eoque pluries iam temptatum non successerit. Igitur conventuri sunt fortasse principes soli hoc autumno obiter inter venandum et facile inter se rem component. Reliquum nihil est, quod merito scribi debeat.
