Letter #2374
[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to Jakob [von BARTHEN]Heilsberg (Lidzbark), [1541-07-15]
English register:
Dantiscus encloses his letter to Cornelis De Schepper, in which he promised his friend some local beer. He asks the addressee to select, purchase, and send to Bruges, as before, three barrels of the finest beer. He will cover the costs with a surplus.
He reports that the sealed belongings left by the deceased [Andreas] Stobius are still in Heilsberg (Lidzbark). He advises that Barthen should admonish the deceased man’s brother [Simon Krautsschult] to come here, and also to reach an agreement with him regarding the personal effects and belongings of the deceased.
