[] to [Georg von BAYSEN (BAŻYŃSKI)]Heilsberg (Lidzbark), 1541-07-20
English register:
Dantiscus is pleased to hear of the recipient’s good health, as reported in his own handwritten letter. He has forwarded in writing the information it contained regarding the starost of Rogoźno (Roggenhausen) [Stanisław Sokołowski] to the Bishop of Chełm [Samuel Maciejowski], nominated to become Bishop of Płock. The content of that letter will be known to the addressee from the attachment enclosed with Dantiscus’s letter to the castellan of Gdańsk (Danzig) [Achatius von Zehmen (Cema)]. Dantiscus promises to inform the addressee of Maciejowski’s reply as soon as he receives it.
