Letter #3099

[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to Gregorius, organist at Vilnius Cathedral
Heilsberg (Lidzbark), 1547-05-30

English register:

Dantiscus says that there is no need for such extensive thanks for the assistance he has rendered. He assures the addressee that he may always count on his support. He was pleased to learn that his letter of recommendation was well received by the bishop of Vilnius and proved of benefit to the addressee. He has now also written to the bishop on his behalf. He asks him to accompany his messenger to the bishop and to deliver his letter to him together with the messenger.
