Letter #4828

Ioannes DANTISCUS to Ermland (Warmia) Chapter
Heilsberg (Lidzbark), 1541-06-14

English register:

The wójt and starost of Braunsberg (Braniewo) [Georg von Preucken] sent the royal edict to the chapter, which Dantiscus ordered to be proclaimed within his dominion. The bishop recommends that the chapter disseminate the edict throughout the territories under its authority and expects that, as agreed, it will send its joint letter to the duke [Albrecht von Hohenzollern].
