Letter #4829
Ioannes DANTISCUS to Ermland (Warmia) ChapterHeilsberg (Lidzbark), 1541-06-25
English register:
With his previous letter to the chapter, sent on 20 June, Dantiscus enclosed a letter [authored jointly by himself and the chapter] to the duke [Albrecht I von Hohenzollern], intended to be forwarded to the addressee. In the meantime, he has received a new letter from the duke, which he now sends to the chapter along with a copy of his own reply. He asks that the duke’s letter be returned to him. He declares his support and assistance should the chapter deem it appropriate to write anything further to Albrecht.
