Hoc vivens bustum sibi struxit episcopus iste,
Prudenter reputans, quod moriturus erat.
Exornavit et hoc pulchrum cum dote sacellum
Nec desunt mystis munera larga sacris.
5
Pauperibus pius et doctis pater esse solebat,
Nulli, cui potuit ferre, negabat opem.
Quidquid habent sophiae duplicisque volumina iuris,
Hauserat in Latiis non sine laude scholis.
Hoc igitur fieri vita durante sepulcrum
10
Iussit et hic oculis vidit adesse suis.
Qui memor est mortis, metuit peccare, subinde
Peccat, qui mortis non solet esse memor.
Plorans haec posuit Culmensis episcopus imo
Corde suum dominum vel pietate patrem.
