Reverendissimo Domino, domino Ioanni Dei gratia episcopo Warmiensi, domino et amico carissimo ac observandissimo

Reverendissime Domine, domine amice carissime ac observandissime.

Salutem et rerum omnium quam felicissimum successum.

Id de me, rogo, persuasum sibi velit Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra me illam, ut coepi quidem in minoribus adhuc fortunis constitutam, omni officiorum meorum genere constantissime usque observaturum esse. Debetur hoc profecto a me laudatissimis virtutibus et singulari Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae erga me benevolentiae, superest modo, ut aliquando aliquis mei usus illi esse possit. Ubique me sincerum et minime aulicum praestabo.

Quae geruntur nunc in Hungary (Kingdom of Hungary)HungariaHungary (Kingdom of Hungary), ex aliorum scriptis et nuntiis puto intelligere Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram. Nos autem hic, in hac rerum omnium gravissima perturbatione, in tam periculosa Suleiman the Magnificent (*1494 – †1566), 1520-1566 Sultan of the Ottoman Empirepraepotentis hostisSuleiman the Magnificent (*1494 – †1566), 1520-1566 Sultan of the Ottoman Empire vicinia non secus quam in rebus bene paratis recteque constitutis supini stertimus, otiamur et iucundamur, nihilque minus quam futura providemus, nullius apparatus, nullius providentiae venit nobis in mentem, quasi Suleiman the Magnificent (*1494 – †1566), 1520-1566 Sultan of the Ottoman EmpireThurcaSuleiman the Magnificent (*1494 – †1566), 1520-1566 Sultan of the Ottoman Empire nunc in ultimis terrarum finibus ultra Caucasus Mountains, mountain in West Asia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the Caucasus regionCaucasumCaucasus Mountains, mountain in West Asia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the Caucasus region et maria agat, adeo falsa foederis religione decepti plura nobis de Thurca pollicemur quam vel ipse nobis vafre admodum et callide promittat. Deus, precor, haec convertat in melius.

Hisce me commendo veteri benevolentiae Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae eandem diutissime et feliciter vivere percupiens.
