Letter #3058
Ioannes DANTISCUS to Peter DEUTZSCHMANN jrHeilsberg (Lidzbark), 1547-03-04
English register:
Dantiscus has gratefully received the addressee’s letter, expressing his opinion on the unrest in Germany against the emperor [Charles V of Habsburg] and informed him of his progress in his studies. He does not hold it against him that he has resolved to return to his homeland in the face of the turmoil. Should he be able to assist him in his studies there, he will do so gladly.
He asks the addressee to convey his greetings to his father [Peter Deutzschmann Sr], who is Dantiscus’ friend.
