Letter #3247
[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to Martin ALLEXWANGENHeilsberg (Lidzbark), 1547-10-31
English register:
Dantiscus expresses his gratitude for the concern shown by the addressee regarding the illness he suffered on the way to Graudenz (Grudziądz). He regards it as a providential scourge inflicted on him to lead him toward amendment. With God’s help, he is returning to health and expects to regain his full strength in the coming days.
He gratefully received the instruction for the royal envoys to the local diets before the general diet, which the addressee had sent, and encourages him to continue forwarding similar materials.
