Regest polski:

Dantyszek dziękuje adresatowi za wsparcie, którego za jego wstawiennictwem udzielił dotąd przed królem [Zygmuntem I] Johannowi von Baysen (Janowi Bażyńskiemu) w staraniach o zachowanie starostwa gniewskiego. Kasztelan elbląski uzyskał dokument królewski przedłużający jego posiadanie do dnia Zesłania Ducha Świętego [20 maja 1548]. Dantyszek nie wątpi, że sam zainteresowany również okaże adresatowi wdzięczność.

Zwraca się ponadto z prośbą o wsparcie posłów z Prus Królewskich wysłanych do króla w sprawie zachowania przywilejów prowincji [Tiedemanna Giese, Johnana von Baysen, Johanna von Werden, Achatiusa von Zehmen (Achacego Cemy)], Fabiana von Zehmen [Cemy]), których utrzymanie król i stany Królestwa obiecywali.

Ponieważ kasztelan elbląski obawia się również o utrzymanie swojego stanu posiadania, Dantyszek wyraża przekonanie, że adresat udzieli mu pomocy, aby ze względu na zasługi jego przodków i ojca [Georg von Baysen (Jerzy Bażyński)] mógł zachować starostwo.

Dantyszek wyraża przekonanie o przychylności adresata wobec kasztelana oraz o jego staraniach na rzecz pomyślnego zakończenia sprawy.
