English register:

Dantiscus is always pleased to recommend anyone who he knows will be agreeable and useful to the addressee. Accordingly, he commends the bearer of this letter, Mikołaj Płotowski.

He will convey information regarding the situation in Royal Prussia and the sender’s state of health. Dantiscus emphasises that his strength is failing; his health, undermined in his youth by long-distance travels, does not currently permit further journeys. He makes assurances, however, that he will remain at the king’s disposal, if not with the strength of his body, then at least with his mind.
