Regest polski:

Dantyszek dziękuje za życzliwe przyjęcie przez adresata jego usprawiedliwienia nieobecności na pogrzebie króla [Zygmunta I]. Zamierzał wziąć w nim udział, jednak stan zdrowia uniemożliwia mu podejmowanie dłuższych podróży na dwór. Zapewnia jednocześnie o stałej gotowości do udzielania rad.

Na dwór królewski udają się posłowie miasta Elbląga, aby wziąć udział w pogrzebie króla oraz załatwić w imieniu miasta pewne sprawy z adresatem. Dantyszek prosi o ich życzliwe przyjęcie oraz o wyrozumiałość w przypadku ewentualnego spóźnienia, które nie wynika z ich winy. Zwłoka była bowiem konsekwencją powszechnego w Prusach Królewskich oczekiwania na zwołanie sejmu przez króla przed sejmem walnym Królestwa.
