AD IUVENES SAECULI HUIUS

In quibus hoc aevo CHRISTI respublica nutat
Multorum vario turbine corda quatit.
Quo possis igitur fugienda relinquere, cautus
Et sectanda sequi, dent tibi lecta, viam.
A qua ne titubans dementis opinio vulgi
Te trahat, intendas Argus ut esse queas.
Atlantis fuge, sed qui nunc crevere, nepotes,
Pectora nam pubis reddere caeca solent.
Quae contacta semel iaculum letale reservant,
Vera salus animae quo vitiata perit.
