Reverendissime Domine, domine et amice observandissime. Salutem multam et sui penitissimam commendationem.

Etsi mihi usque adhuc nulla fuit praebita ansa gratificandi et benemerendi de Reverendissima Dominatione Vestra, voluntas tamen et ardens desiderium id faciendi numquam defuerat. Nam cum adhuc Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra et aetate et fortuna minor erat, ego quoque tum superinscribed⌈tumtum superinscribed⌉ annis et titulis inferior, mirifice amicissimeque illi affectus eram. Nunc demum postea quam Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram virtus et amplissimus rerum usus in hunc fortunae suggestum evexerit, celebritas nominis eius et summorum monarcharum orbis favor, quibus placere summa laus est, laudem apud omnes passim conflaverit, non solum affectionem in Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram meam et studium illud complacendi refrixisse, verum etiam multis partibus incaluisse auctumque esse. Fortasse Deus dabit aliquando occasionem, qua id re ipsa comprobem.
