Letter #1492
Matthias, Abbot of the Cistercian monastery in Koronowo to Ioannes DANTISCUSKoronowo, 1536-06-24
English register: Matthias, Abbot in Koronowo, upholds his statement that Matthias, the guardian [of the Franciscans] in Kulm who died at his convent, did not indicate any perpetrator of his injuries; in the only statement he made at the time, he assured that not even all the medicines in existence could treat his illness (infirmitas mea est valde mirabilis et si omnes apothecas una semel gluttirem, non iuvarent sanare meam infirmitatem). Therefore the Abbot cannot give any other testimony.

Reverendissimo in Christo Patri et Domino, domino
Reverendissime in Christo Pater et Domine, domine mihi multum gratiosissime.
His litteris placuit invisere sanitatem Paternitatis Vestrae Reverendissimae, quam ex animo faveo Paternitati Vestrae Reverendissimae tamquam mihi ipsi.
Cerno aliqualem mihi difficultatem incumbere in negotio piae memoriae
Cuius eidem gratiae et favori consuetis me commendo.
