Letter #1779

[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to [Iustus Lodvicus DECIUS (DECJUSZ, DIETZ)]
Löbau (Lubawa), 1537-11-16

English register: In the name of their friendship of old, Dantiscus asks Decius to confirm to the Fuggers’ factor Georg Hegel that Dantiscus and Tiedemann Giese have deposited 2000 Hungarian guilders with Decius’s brother Iacobus (Iacobus Ludovicus Decius, the Fuggers’ factor) in Toruń. His brother Iacobus will inform him of the details. The deposited money is to be sent via bank transfer to Rome, to pay for Dantiscus’ and Giese’s annates.
