Letter #5747

Alfonso de VALDÉS to Ioannes DANTISCUS
Palencia, 1527-10-01

English register:

Valdés informs Dantiscus of the arrival of the chancellor’s [Mercurino Gattinara’s] quartermaster. The chancellor won’t arrive in Palencia sooner than Saturday, tomorrow he will stay in Aranda and then probably travel by the shortest route. Valdés sends a list of the towns through which, according to the quartermaster’s guess, the chancellor will travel (this part of the letter, most likely on a separate page, has not survived). Valdés will go out to meet the chancellor tomorrow morning. He hopes to meet with Dantiscus on the way.
