Letter #6684

Ioannes DANTISCUS to Ermland (Warmia) Chapter
Heilsberg (Lidzbark Warmiński), 1539-03-15

English register:

Dantiscus has acquainted himself with the constitutions and arrangements of his predecessor [Mauritius Ferber] and the Ermland Chapter concerning the scope of power of the bishop and the chapter in their domains.

Since these regulations have not been followed in recent times, he has sent his subjects the relevant decrees enforcing them anew. He is sending a copy thereof to the Chapter so that it can do the same. He expects a prompt reply.
