Because many catechisms are currently in circulation and being forced upon the common people despite being at variance with the teaching of the Catholic Church, Dantiscus sends a book based upon the Gospels and the doctrine of the Church Fathers, which is authenticated with Dantiscus’ seal [Filippo Archinto’s Christiana de fide et sacramentis contra haereticorum id temporis errores explanatio]. Any teachings pertaining to pure religion and true piety should be sourced from this publication to avoid erroneous doctrines, on pain of ecclesiastical censures and in accordance with the oath of obedience sworn to the bishop.

Additionally, Dantiscus’ instructions are that the archpriests should make sure that the parish priests under their authority are in possession of copies of the work at the beginning of each year.
