Nikolaus BRÖMSE
| Nikolaus Brömse (*ca. 1472 – †1543), Catholic, zealous opponent of the Reformation. In 1531 he left the city in protest against its joining the Schmalkaldic League, and went to the Imperial court; he came back to Lübeck in 1535 ; 1514-1520 member of the Lübeck Town Council; 1520-1531, 1535-1543 Mayor of Lübeck; 1531 member of the Imperial Council (NDB, vol. 2, p. 629) | ||||||
