Excellenti domino meo, domino Excellens mi domine utique benefactor. Debitam post commendationem. Cum religiosus iste ad Dominationem Vestram se conferre ob quaedam huius Barensis rei publicae negotia decrevisset, peropportunum diiudicavi meis ad Dominationem Vestram litteris non esse immunem. Et de his, quae sese post ipsius abitum habuerunt, certiorem reddere licet, cum facto sequestro essem Neapoli, ad Dominationem Vestram anno iam decurso litteras inde dedissem, quibus responsum minime habuisse profiteor. Unum non ignoro nuntiorum id incuria evenisse, compertum enim habeo Dominationem Vestram ob eas, quibus pollet virtutes immensas eo me amore prosequi, ut non modo cartas, verum et ingentia beneficia exspectare impellar. Ipse autem ex serenissimae dominae mandato ab anno usque ad status recuperationem Neapoli moram traxi, quamvis regii agentes consiliarii, in quo comperiebar officio me confirmare experti fuere, aliisque me praeferebant regni huius audientiis illis reiectis, serenissimae dominae meae servitiis veluti fidelis servulus me exponere non destiti, nec desistam, modo huic Barensi officio serenissimae dominae iussu assisto. Opus mihi fuisset visendis propria domo rebusque meis, atqui ut ipsius maiestatis obsecutus essem mandata, illuc concedere nolui. Quare, excellens domine mi, valetudinem Dominationis Vestrae mirum in modum habere exoptarem, qua gratius iucundiusque mihi evenire posset nihil. Suus etenim istuc felicissimus recessus, a cunctis et maioribus et parvulis qui mirifice desideratur, quem omnipotens Deus celerem et citissimum nobis ostendat. Supplex offendo me Dominationi Vestrae, ut quotienscumque ipsi serenissimae dominae dominoque Ludovico destinat litteras, res meas apud maiestatem suam et apud ipsum dominum Ludovicum commendare non dedignetur. Aliud mihi non occurrit, nisi me Dominationi Vestrae iterum atque iterum commendare. Quae feliciter valeat, ut nostra fovet spes.
