Letter #200

[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to [Tiedemann GIESE]
[Heilsberg (Lidzbark Warmiński)], [1538-04-17 — 1538-04-18]

English register:

Dantiscus encourages the addressee to bring in horses, carts and other necessities from Löbau (Lubawa) before his travel to the [Royal Prussian] Diet; the dispatching will be handled by Dantiscus’ nephew [Simon Hannau], who will also take care of everything else until Giese arrives.

Expecting the arrival of the bulls [of confirmation], Dantiscus thinks he can already hand over administration of the [Kulm (Chełmno)] bishopric to Giese. He intends to write to the King [Sigismund I Jagiellon] on the matter in the coming days. If Giese wishes, the messenger will take his letters as well.
