Zanim Dantyszek otrzymał list Granveli wysłany 8 marca z Ratyzbony, napisał do niego 1 kwietnia, zalecając mu posła królewskiego Stanisława Maciejowskiego i sprawy, w których ów został wyprawiony.
Dziękuje adresatowi za miłość i życzliwość, pielęgnowanie pamięci o nim mimo upływu czasu i fizycznego oddalenia, oraz za obietnice pomocy w sprawach Dantyszka i osób, które się na niego powołają. W miarę swoich możliwości chętnie odwdzięczy się tym samym.
Spełniając prośbę Granveli, Dantyszek w najbliższych dniach wyśle z Gdańska przez Bałtyk do Cornelisa De Scheppera wielkie poroża lokalnych dzikich zwierząt. De Schepper przekaże je Granveli wraz z racicami łosi, które ponoć leczą epilepsję.
