English register: A testimonial written at the request of a young nobleman, Piotr Kanigowski, setting off to visit Dantiscus; in the sender’s service he showed himself to be obedient, virtuous, diligent, sincere and faithful, so the sender asks Dantiscus to find an appropriate occupation for him at his court.

Reverendissimo in Christo Patri et Domino, domino Iohanni Dei gratia episcopo Culmensi dignissimo, domino suo colendissimo

Proficiscitur ad Reverendissimam Paternitatem Vestram praesentium exhibitor Petrus Canigowski, adolescens nobilis, famulitio Dominationis Vestrae Reverendissimae addictus. Qui cum id a me peteret, ut illum Reverendissimae Dominationi Vestrae commendarem, id homini digno commendatione et bene merito denegare non licuit. Is namque aliquamdiu mecum exsistens mansuetudini illectus ac virtuti, fidum in omnibus, diligentem ac sincerum se mihi servitorem exhibuit, q(?)(ui)d(em) bono nomine dignus sit et commendatione. Quocirca Reverendissimam Paternitatem Vestram humillima prece exoro, dignetur eundem numero servitorum suorum annumerare et gratia sua amplecti eoque loco, quod illi assignare dignata est, in curia sua non frustrare.

Qui si umquam Dominationi Vestrae Reverendissimae vel eius servitoribus meritis meis servire potero, offero me ad mandata benevolentem et deditissimum. Cuius gratiae et benignitati me commendo cupien(s) or cupien(do)cupien(s)cupien(s) or cupien(do), ut illam Deus maximus sane et felicissime in ea dignissima sacerdotii apice confovere et conservare ac ad maiora tandem exaltare dignetur. Pro quo mihi et meae toti congregationi non deerit oratio indefessa.
