Reverendissime in Christo pater et domine, domine colendissime.

Cum magno desiderio litteras Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae exspectarem, tandem eas mihi venerabilis dominus Caspar Lisheman reddidit, quibus Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra negotium concordiae subeundae de canonicatu et praebenda apud ecclesiam Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae mihi demandat. Lisb Libenter Reverendissimae Dominationi Vestrae quibuscumque in rebus oboedio. Quomodo autem negotium cum venerabili domino Caspari se habet, Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra ex eo intelliget. Concurrebat cum eo etiam honorabilis dominus Vincencius curatus ex Schonneck cum litteris dominorum amicorum, qui se in totum per Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram ad me missum affirmabat. Ago Reverendissimae Dominationi Vestrae gratias ob solitam erga me clementiam etiam apud reverendissimum dominum Plocensem in canonicatu et praebenda Warsoviensi factam et totus ea in re ex Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae et favore ac voluntate pendeo.

Sperabam aliquid dignum in negotio Livonico Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram ad me perscribere debuisse, ergo institui Deo optimo favente cum primum via raedae fuerit, reverendissimum dominum meum Tarbatensem invisere et per LithuaniaLituaniamLithuania iter facturum. Domini Poloni forsitan rem parvi faciunt, di faxint ne eos aliquando sera paenitentia ducat. Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae Leonard Niederhoff (*ca. 1485 – †1545), doctor of both canon and civil law, friend of Nicolaus Copernicus and executor of his will; studied in Cracow, Leipzig and Rome, where he obtained a doctoral degree; from 1511 parish priest of St. Bartholomew's Church in Gdańsk (Danzig); from 1515 Canon of Ermland (Warmia), and from 1519 Canon of Dorpat; from 1532 Dean of the Ermland Chapter; he also had a canonry in Kulm from which he resigned in 1533.
