Dantiscus informs the king that the secretary of the Gdańsk (Danzig) City Council [Jakob Fürstenberger] is setting out for the royal court. His mission concerns not only the interests of the city but also those of the whole of Royal Prussia. Due to widespread high prices and shortage of grain, the council proposes a ban on its export. Dantiscus supports this initiative and asks the king to graciously receive the envoy and to hear his petition.
