Letter #1811

[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to [Georg von BAYSEN (BAŻYŃSKI)]
Löbau (Lubawa), 1537-12-01

English register: Dantiscus is replying to Bażyński’s letter. He asks Bażyński to read the enclosed letters that Dantiscus has written to the citizens and to the king on the matter of Jan Rabe, and to send them on to the addressees if the content of the letters is compatible with his own will. Dantiscus informs Bażyński that he will soon be leaving for Lidzbark – immediately after the return of his brother Georg (von Höfen), whom he sent there the previous day. He has sent his other brother – Bernard (von Höfen) – to Cracow to dispatch the documents and money to Rome. Dantiscus advises Bażyński to take good care of his health.

Lubaviae, I-a Decembris anno 1537.
