Letter #3347

Adrianus, abbot of Cistercian monastery in Oliwa & Jodok KRON to Ioannes DANTISCUS
Pelplin, 1548-03-04

English register: Abbots Adrianus and Jodok Kron thank Dantiscus and the other gentlemen from the Prussian Council for defending the privileges of their monastic houses in Prussia. They also thank him for sending the correspondence from Rome, among which they found the original of an apostolic breve concerning them, addressed to Dantiscus and the Bishop of Cracow [Samuel Maciejowski]. They are sending this document to Dantiscus so that he has direct access to it when he supports their affairs. They hope that, when necessary, the breve will be made available to them.
            received Heilsberg (Lidzbark Warmiński), 1548-03-08
