Letter #5780

Alfonso de VALDÉS to Ioannes DANTISCUS
[Madrid, or Mantua, or Augsburg], [shortly after 1528-09-09 or 1530, March/April, or ca. 1530-10, possibly also 1531/1532]

English register:

Valdés thanks Dantiscus for the gift. He is glad to hear of Lewicki’s (?, cf. footnote No. 1) safe arrival. He would have come to dinner with Dantiscus but Granvelle invited him first to discuss some matters, so he’ll come after dinner or before supper.
