Circumspecta virtus tua ac summa erga Deum et mirificum Christi confessorem divum Nicolaum patronum nostrum religio et devota affectio nobis praestat audaci[a]m in cun<c>tis huius regalis ecclesiae imminentibus necessitatibus cum summa fide ad magnificentiam Dominationis Vestrae ocurrere tamquam dictae ecclesiae nostrae protectorem ac defensorem, quem novimus penes caesaream maiestatem, veluti oratorem meritissimum serenissimarum maiestatum regis ac reginae Polloniae, dominorum nostrorum assidue vacare. Cum igitur expediat summopere nobis et ipsi nostrae ecclesiae impetrare a caesarea maiestate, quod officium capitaneatus ad guerram in terra nostra Rutiliani provinciae terrae Bari teneatur penes curiam dictae caesareae maiestatis, ne excellens dominus comes Noye, qui habet iurisdictionem limitatam in tribus casibus criminalibus in dicta terra Rutiliani vigore dicti officii capitaneatus ad guerram, quod spectat ad caesaream maiestatem illud occupando offendat et laedat multipliciter iurisdictionem nostrae ecclesiae, quam habemus in terra praedicta. Ea propter rogamus instanter magnificentiam Dominationis Vestrae, quatenus dignetur, praestat auxilium et favorem spectabili Berardino Planensi de Cusencia, qui nostro nomine supplicabit dictae catholicae maiestati, ut dignetur providere indemnitati ipsius ecclesiae retinendo penes se dictum officium, quod indubitanter spectat ad regiam curiam et sic cessabit modus opprimendi ecclesiam temere assumens per dictum dominum comitem. Rogamus Dominationem Vestram, ut si qua expensa fuerit necessaria pro obtinenda dicta provisione, dignetur illam nostro nomine subministrare quoniam parati sumus illam reficere et solvere in manus excellentis domini Lodovici de Aliphiis seu alterius in civitate Neapolis vel alibi pro libito voluntatis Dominationis Vestrae, sub cuius protectionem nos omnes ecclesiamque nostram summopere commendamus.
