Salutem et omnes prosperos successus Vestrae Amplissimae Dignitati Christus Optimus Maximus largiri dignetur, id quod ipse vehementer cupio.

Etsi, Amplissime Praesul, Vestram Amplissimam Dignitatem scriptis interpellare pudor et metus prohibebant, vicit tamen pietas, qua non possum non esse affectus cum puero Johann von Höfen (Jan Hartowski, Ioannes Varschoviensis, Ioannes de Curiis) (†after 1547-09-01), probably a first cousin of Dantiscus, student of Valentinus Rawensis; in 1537 studied in Cracow; since 1545, upon Dantiscus' recommendation, in the service of Cracow bishop Samuel Maciejowski (SKOLIMOWSKA 2000)IoanniJohann von Höfen (Jan Hartowski, Ioannes Varschoviensis, Ioannes de Curiis) (†after 1547-09-01), probably a first cousin of Dantiscus, student of Valentinus Rawensis; in 1537 studied in Cracow; since 1545, upon Dantiscus' recommendation, in the service of Cracow bishop Samuel Maciejowski (SKOLIMOWSKA 2000), tum huius genitrici magna calamitate (ut audio) nunc afflictae dominae Popielnikowa, mother of Johann von HÖFEN PopyelnykowaPopielnikowa, mother of Johann von HÖFEN , quam fortuna illi noverca non prosequitur modo, verum ad interitum ferme redigere conatur.

Post servitiorum meorum in gratiam Tuae Celsitudinis humillimam commendationem.

Amplissime Praesul.

Non immemor Tuae Celsitudinis admonitionis illius, ne ab officio scribendarum litterarum semel suscepto desisterem, potissimum si quid habeam, quod Tuae Celsitudinis scientia dignum esse existimarem, tametsi nihil hic sit, quod Tuam Celsitudinem scire iuvaret, nactus sum tabellarii certi Tuae, inquam, Celsitudinis servitoris copiam, illius sanitatem invisere praesentibus decrevi.
