[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to [Georg von BAYSEN (BAŻYŃSKI)]
Löbau (Lubawa), 1537-03-15

English register: Dantiscus has received Bażyński’s letter (IDL 1585). He is sending him a copy of his letter to the king (IDL 1602), confirmed by the seal of Maurycy Ferber. Dantiscus promises to inform Bażyński immediately about the king’s reply.

Magnifice Domine, Amice carissime et honorande. Salutem et omnem felicitatem.

Ista hora accepi Magnificentiae Vestrae litteras feria quinta post Oculi datas, noluique committere, cum nuntius esset ad manum, qui versus Sthum tendit, quamvis pauloante scripserim, quin et has Laconicas ad Magnificentiam Vestram darem. Cum quibus mitto litterarum mearum exemplum ad maiestatem regiam, ad quam Cracoviam nuntius meus proficiscitur. Ex eo, quae sunt ex mente Magnificentiae Vestrae, cui non gravate accessi, ad quam etiam confirmandam reverendissimus dominus Varmiensis sigillum suum misit, intelliget. Quodcumque respondebitur, Magnificentia Vestra sciet cum primis. Quam diutissime feliciter valere opto ex animo.
