Reverendissimo in Christo Patri, Domino, domino Ioanni Dei gratia episcopo Varmiensi, domino et amico suo observandissimo

Reverendissime in Christo Pater, Domine, domine amice observandissime.

Salutem plurimam et amica officia.

Tametsi causam huius Theophili Smucz veluti quoddam saxum satis diu volverimus, quia tamen temeritate adversariorum etiamnum haeret, a Vestra Reverendissima Dominatione peto, ut eum istic suo consilio iuvet, quo iam tandem potiretur iudicato, quod nescio quorum technis in integrum revocatur, ut pium sic iustum opus eiusque oppressis rationibus necessarium faciet, ac me sibi itidem ac suis ad paria officia obligabit.

Cuius amori et favori me commendo.

Cracovia, sabbato ante ferias Paschae 1547.

Eiusdem Vestrae Reverendissimae Dominationis Petrus Cmita comes in Visnice, palatinus et capitaneus Cracoviensis, Regni Poloniae supremus marescalcus etc., Vestrae Reverendissimae Dominationis totus et integer amicus idem manu propria subscripsit
