Reverendissimo in Christo Patri ac Domino, domino Iohanni Dei gratia episcopo Culmensi, domino et benefactori meo colendissimo

Reverendissime in Christo Pater ac Domine, domine colendissime.

Humanissimas Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae litteras Heilisbergum me vocantes accepi, ubi se sacris, quod felix faustumque sit, iniciandam scribit. Libenter profecto animo Dominationis Vestrae Reverendissimae, cui omnia meque ipsum debeo, illuc advolando morem gessissem, nisi plurima essent, quae me hac tempestate officio meo uti vetassent, praesertim quod incivile videretur, ut ab hospite non accersitus importunum me hospitem ingererem. Proinde boni consulere dignetur, oro, Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra, si nunc minus obsequar eius voluntati. Quae si meam, qualisqualis esse possit, opellam posthac desiderarit, non erit mihi grave ipsam vel Luboviam, vel alio, ubi constituerit, insequi.

Cui me cum servitiis meis diligenter commendo. Quamque incolumem et florentem esse precor.
