Non novem sororibus,
Apollini nec hos paramus hymnos,
Ungula latex equi
Retectus hic non influit volantis.
Iste puncta continet
Cruenta Christi vulnerum libellus,
Passionis et crucis
Necem probrosam, quam subivit insons,
Huncque nuper editum
Piis damus lectoribus legendum.
Nil moramur impios
Eosque, qui probata cuncta temnunt.
Hoc rudi charactere
Satis pii factum sibi putabunt.
Auctor hic modestiae
Studens placere, nomen abdicavit,
Non pudore vel metu,
Sed arrogantia timens notari;
Nam nihil nisi sacrae
Crucis volebat institor videri.
