Solent principes, si quando fortunam sibi sensere propitiam, ut vel prole aucti sunt, vel de hostibus triumphum retulerint, vel ad regnum aliquod adsciti sunt, non solum eos, qui sceleris alicuius admissi gratia in vinculis detinentur, sed illos etiam, qui se aliqua iniuria affecerunt, gratia delicti facta pristina benignitate et clementia prosequi, praesertim si hoc illos submisso animo a se flagitare videant et ob errorem commissum aut factam iniuriam vehementer angi et animo perturbari. Ego vero quamvis nullius mihi culpae conscius sim meque tui imprimis studiosum et observantem et fuisse semper, et esse etiam nunc, memini tamen, quoniam tibi ita a nonnullis persuasum est, qui malevolentia in me suffusi, in odium me tuum adducere conati sunt, quod iniuriae aliquid a me passus sis.

Dominus castellanus Landensis, qui ad imperatorem Thurcorum orator designatus et missus fuerat, revertitur iam, rebus illic confectis ex sententia.
