Letter #1881
Ioannes DANTISCUS to Tiedemann GIESEHeilsberg (Lidzbark Warmiński), 1538-07-26
English register:
Dantiscus intends to send a messenger to the royal court soon, so he asks Giese urgently to return [Georg] Hegel’s letter and bill, to offer his opinion on the accounts presented by Hegel, and also to provide information as to whether and on what matters Giese wants Dantiscus to be his mediator at the court. He commends the messenger carrying this letter, Mikołaj Płotowski, to Giese as being more reliable than the Italian deceiver (sycophanta Italus) [Vicentz Walh].
